Marcus King – LIVE TV TAPING
ABOUT MARCUS KING
GRAMMY Award-nominated artist, performer, and songwriter Marcus King was downright destined to play music. By eight years old, the fourth-generation Greenville, SC native performed alongside pops, grandpa, and his uncles for the first time. Logging thousands of miles on the road as The Marcus King Band, he established himself with unparalleled performance prowess and a dynamic live show. During 2020, he linked up with Dan Auerbach [The Black Keys] and cut his solo debut, El Dorado, garnering a GRAMMY Award nomination in the category of Best Americana Album. Beyond praise from NPR, American Songwriter, and more, Rolling Stone christened it excellent, and Associated Press went as far as to claim, El Dorado already stands out as a definite high point of 2020. In between packing venues on his own, he performed alongside Chris Stapleton, Greta Van Fleet, and Nathanial Rateliff in addition to gracing the bills of Stagecoach and more with one seismic show after the next. Along the way, he caught the attention of Rick Rubin and signed to American Recordings.
Plugged into his old mans dusty amp with a 59 Les Paul in hand, Marcus set out to make a rock n roll record in 2022. He didnt disguise his ambitions at all. He didnt hold back. He didnt think about anything but writing from the gut, shooting from the hip, and playing straight from the heart. Joined by Auerbach, he made the kind of rock n roll record that makes arenas and asses shake, and its called Young Blood [American Recordings/Republic Records].

Nefesh Mountain
ABOUT NEFESH MOUNTAIN
New York-based Progressive Americana band Nefesh Mountain has been hailed as one of the formative boundary-pushing ensembles in roots music. The band’s creators and dynamic husband and wife team of Eric Lindberg and Doni Zasloff have created a world and sound all their own; blurring the lines between Americana, Bluegrass, Folk, Jazz, and Blues with a masterful hand as songwriters, instrumentalists, and composers alike. The band, declared A Powerhouse Unit by Rolling Stone and “Introspective Lyrics and world-class musicianship by American Songwriter, takes the listener on a deeply personal journey that embodies their own wild nature and unbridled free spirits, bridging compositional prowess and prolific songwriting with deft instrumentals and jams.
Since their formation nearly a decade ago, Nefesh Mountain has been proudly open and vocal about their background and heritage as Jewish Americans, and are among the first preeminent Americana / Bluegrass bands to infuse Jewish tradition and soul into the beautifully diverse tapestry of American roots music. For them the music is wholly American, freely expressing their own identities while at the same time addressing the hate, discrimination, anti-semitism, and racism that still remains at large in America and the World today.
The band has recorded and shared the stage with Sam Bush, Jerry Douglas, Bryan Sutton, John Doyle, Noam Pikelny (Punch Brothers), Mark Schatz (Bla Fleck, Nickel Creek), Mike Gordon (Phish), and Tony Trischka among others. The Troubadours along with their band continue to forge new paths in unknown territory, armed with Zasloff and Lindbergs strong, smokey, and folksy vocals and Lindbergs soulful and masterful skills on guitars and banjo alike.

Scott Mulvahill and Friends present Graceland with special guests Beth Nielsen Chapman, Bakhiti Kumalo, Jeff Taylor, Bo Rinehart(Coy Roy, NEEDTOBREATHE), and more TBA!
Paul Simons Graceland is a classic, both for what a beautiful and fun record it is, and for what a strange record it is. Combining South African rhythms and musicians with Zydeco beats, futuristic (at the time) tools like the drum machine, and songs that could only come from a master like Paul Simon, theres nothing like it besides all the music it directly inspired.
My friends and I are certainly some of the many Graceland-inspired musicians and we play this music with love, appreciation, and a little trepidation and a LOT of fun. Were especially honored that the original bassist from the album and Pauls band, Bakithi Kumalo, is joining us as a special guest. Ring in 2024 with Call Me Al!!

Jason Singer (of Michigander) with special guest Young Ritual
ABOUT JASON SINGER
Michigander is the brainchild (and unofficial nom de plume) of Midwestern songwriter, singer, producer, and guitarist Jason Singer. Emerging in 2014, the Mitten State troubadour employs a rich blend of hook-driven and radio-ready indie rock with electronic flourishes and earnest, big-hearted storytelling that invokes names like Lord Huron and Mumford & Sons. The band found commercial success with the release of their 2021 EP Everything Will Be Ok Eventually, which included the hits “Let Down” and “Better.”
The Midland native is a self-taught multi-instrumentalist who spent his formative years building a sonic persona that looked to a wide array of influencers, including Coldplay, Rush, James Taylor, and the White Stripes. After honing his skills playing solo sets, Singer relocated to Kalamazoo in 2014 and began operating under the Michigander moniker. In 2016 he issued the nostalgia-driven single “Nineties,” which garnered over a million online streams. Looking to capitalize on the success of the single, Singer turned his one-man solo project into a fully-fledged rock & roll band and hit the road, sharing bills with contemporaries like Ra Ra Riot, Tokyo Police Club, and Twin Peaks, and released the group’s debut EP, Midland, in 2018. The following year saw the band ink a deal with C3 Records and issue a second EP, Where Do We Go from Here? 2021’s acclaimed Everything Will Be OK Eventually EP included the streaming hits “Better” and “Let Down.” Michigander kicked off 2022 with a string of singles, including “In My Head,” which saw the band team up with Manchester Orchestra.
