Following a Works & Process residency at Hutton Hotel’s Writers Studio, writer-comedian Alex Edelman and author Michael R. Jackson invite audiences into the earliest stages of a new theater work. Whether it becomes a play with music or a musical remains to be seen—characters are still taking shape, stories are still unfolding, and the piece is far from finished. Alex Edelman is a comedian, writer, and actor best known for his acclaimed solo shows. His Broadway hit Just For Us earned a Special Tony Award, an Emmy Award, and a Peabody Award nomination. He currently writes for and stars in Peacock’s The Paper.
Michael R. Jackson is the Pulitzer Prize- and Tony Award-winning creator of A Strange Loop. His other works include White Girl in Danger, Teeth (with Anna K. Jacobs), and the opera Complications in Sue.
