ABOUT THAYER SARRANO
The follow-up to 2019’s Wings Alleluia, Bells (April, 2025) is a contemplative and uplifting soundtrack through themes of time, consciousness, imagination, hope, memory, and love–with influences including magical realism, science fiction, gospel, transcendentalism, and the natural and supernatural worlds.
Since 2009, Thayer has released five LPs, a live EP with a string chamber ensemble, and several singles. She has toured constantly, headlining tours in the US and Europe, as well as supporting artists like Drive-By Truckers, Television, Robyn Hitchcock, Cracker, Camper Van Beethoven, and more. Her songs have been featured on several network television shows, in an installation in the Netherlands’ Groninger Museum, and she has won music video awards. She has also released books of original artworks and lyrics. For the last decade, she has split her time between her two homes in Nashville, TN, and Athens, GA, where, in addition to her own band, she is a well-known collaborator with numerous acts as a session musician, composer for short films, documentaries, and visual installations.
