Joining host Michael Haney on stage are acclaimed hit songwriters Wil Nance, Steve Williams, and Tommy Karlas, with Kelby Ray on dobro. The show begins at 7:00 p.m.
Experience the stories behind some of Country Music’s most beloved songs, made famous by Brad Paisley, George Strait, Blake Shelton, Craig Morgan, Montgomery Gentry, and Trisha Yearwood, as the writers who created them share the inspiration, memories, and music that brought these hits to life.
Wil Nance is a hit songwriter who has penned the #1 Brad Paisley smash “She’s Everything”, the #1 George Strait hit “Round About Way”, (also George Straits “Where Have I Been All My Life”, If Heartaches Were Horses”, & “It Takes All Kinds”) and other singles and cuts on country artists such as Joe Nichols, Tim McGraw, Easton Corbin, Tracy Lawrence, Craig Morgan, John Michael Montgomery, Neal Mc Coy, Blue County, Diamond Rio, Oakridge Boys, Rodney Atkins, Mo Pitney, Chris Janson, & many others.
Wil currently writes for CURB/WORD and has had recent cuts on Chris Janson, Rodney Atkins, Joe Nichols, Craig Morgan, and won a 2024 DOVE AWARD with his hit single Jeff & Sheri Easter’s “Here Comes Jesus!”

Nashville hit songwriter Steve Williams has had two #1 songs, “Redneck Yacht Club” and “I Get To,” which was also nominated for a Dove Award. His songs are featured on 4 gold records with songs recorded by George Strait, Blake Shelton, Craig Morgan, Trick Pony, Steve Holy, Kristin Chenoweth, and The Oak Ridge Boys, just to name a few. Steve has spent the last few years working with Operation Song, helping vets with PTSD put their stories to song. Tommy Karlas is a professional country music singer/songwriter in Nashville, TN. In 2001, at the age of 19, Tommy moved to Nashville from East Alton, IL, and secured his first publishing deal on Music Row. Since then, he’s written songs for country music’s biggest stars such as Blake Shelton, Randy Travis, Old Dominion, Warren Zeiders, Montgomery Gentry, Trisha Yearwood, Tyler Farr, and many more. And it was the multi-week number one smash hit, Roll With Me, that went on to be the fastest rising and most downloaded song of Montgomery Gentry’s long career, penning Tommy an ASCAP Songwriter Of The Year nomination. Michael Haney always felt making a career out of making music was out of reach — until 2015, when he was looking for his next gig after a decade as a sports radio producer and on-air personality in his native South Carolina. He moved to Nashville that September. Now signed to Rock Ridge Music, Haney is honing his warm, comforting Americana sound under the guidance of producer Ben Jackson (Josh Ross, Sister Hazel, Aaron Watson) while working with country-pop-rock band Sister Hazel’s merch company, lending his voice to commercials and audiobooks, and booking Nashville Nights, a weekly summertime songwriter series at Steel Hands Brewing in Cayce, South Carolina.
