ABOUT KENNY SHARP
Kenny Sharp is an emerging singer/songwriter/producer from the Washington D.C. area.
Discovered and developed by Lunchmoney Lewis, Kenny has worked for the past several years between Los Angeles, Miami, and Nashville.
A natural-born storyteller, he combines his writing style with a raw and powerful vocal delivery to draw out the emotions behind the words. This fall, Kenny will release his debut EP entitled Brown Liquor Music. While his artist project is rooted in soul and R&B, Kenny began his career as a rapper focused on lyrical skills, and as such, he works as a writer with artists across many genres, including hip-hop, pop, and country.
Kenny has opened for notable artists and acts such as Citizen Cope, Wale, the Chuck Brown Band, and WPGC 95.5 ‘For Sisters Only.’ He most recently scored a sync placement on Grey’s Anatomy as well as writing credit on the lead single for Durand Jones & The Indications.

Shyanne is starting to emerge from the scene in Music City as she releases music that is making an impact on the industry. Her sound embodies an early 2000s R&B/Pop vibe but with a modern twist. Youll find her on tracks that range anywhere from true melodic R&B to hard-hitting Hip-Hop or trap beats. With her music, she hopes to change the game forever by bringing something positive and unique to the table. Shes been honing in on her craft for a long time and believes that its time to let the world know.

Brady Riley is the fresh, full-beat face the pop-country scene has been waiting for. A little bit of Hollywood, a little bit of redneck, Brady blends the sounds of country, pop, and rock to create a genre hes named, Country Vogue. From small town Winnie, Texas, Brady started singing before he could speak and hasnt stopped since. Growing up, he found his home on stage, expressing himself through writing and making music. His recent single Welcome to Chambers County is a testament to his authenticity as he writes about his life growing up in Texas and takes his listeners on a vivid journey. Brady is a dynamic performer, a powerhouse vocalist, and unapologetically himself. His music is a reflection of his true character raw, real, and radiant.
ABOUT RYAN ALLEN GRAY
Ryan Allen Gray, is a musical Artist currently based in Nashville TN. He studied Musical Theatre and Acting at East Carolina University before moving to New York City in 2012. He started his music career with an LGBTQ performance group called Shirley House in New York. He was part of the group for over 5 years. Ryan has performed in renowned music venues such as Sleep No More, The Peppermint Club, The Rainbow Room, Gramercy Theatre, The Cutting Room, Pianos, and Mercury Lounge. He has also worked in TV and Film and has been featured in off-Broadway productions in NYC such as Rock N Roll Debauchery. Ryan moved to Nashville, TN in 2022 to write and produce original music for his debut solo artist project with themes that lend themselves to queer narratives. His most Recent Release is a song called Snake Charmer It is the story of the Narcissist and the Empath. It was inspired by themes of past relationships in Ryans personal life. ABOUT CARMEN DIANNE
Carmen Dianne is a Nashville-born and raised singer-songwriter, vocalist, bassist, and touring artist with the Black Opry Revue and is also part of the inaugural class of the Academy of Country Music and Black Music Action Coalition’s OnRamp Program. Carmen finds that the most interesting people don’t really fit into one box, so their music shouldn’t either. By blending genres like R&B with southern rock and country, Carmen has earned press in the Nashville Scene, CanvasVoyage, BoldJourney, Bluegrass Station, and Rolling Stone, and is currently Wranglers featured artist of the month. Using all the influences that create her background, Carmen hopes to create a sound as natural and familiar as it is ear-catching and original. Whether she is touring with the Black Opry Revue or doing a solo show, with her soulful, angelic voice and deft songwriting skill, Carmen Dianne illustrates stories of regret, hope, willpower, and sheer bliss with a striking sincerity that shows that this singer won’t be going anywhere soon.

ABOUT BRENNLEY BROWN
Brennleys musical story begins as a four-year-old girl on her familys ranch in Apple Valley, California. Her dad introduced her to the sound of the steel guitar and the voices of country legends like Waylon Jennings, Emmylou Harris, and Merle Haggard. Combined with her unwavering faith, this musical influence produces an artist who brings a new, unique sound to Country Christian music.
Music quickly became a sacred space of comfort while navigating her moms battle with life-threatening Cardiac Lyme Disease. The hope and healing Brennley came to know through that trial fostered her calling to share honest and authentic stories through her music.
At age 11, Brennley landed the lead roles in the Emmy Award-winning Disney/DreamWorks animated features Dragons: Rescue Riders and Tangled: the Series. At age 14, Brennley appeared on NBCs 12th season of The Voice on team Blake Shelton and team Gwen Stefani, where she succeeded as a finalist and became the shows youngest, highest-charting artist to date.
Following her successful run on The Voice, she began traveling monthly to Nashville to hone her music craft and lean into her traditional country roots. She earned her spot in the live music scene as an opener for Tim McGraw, Sheryl Crow, Dwight Yoakam, and others. Brennley released her debut EP, Story Stays in 2020. The title track, One More Hallelujah, served as her earliest venture into Country Music reflecting her values and messages of hope.
After permanently moving to Nashville, Brennley signed with Sony/Provident Label Group in 2023. Her music career reflects Gods calling on her life, woven with her roots in traditional country music. Brennley shares a sincere love of Jesus, a heart for ministry, and an authentic intention to bring a pure, honest spirit that will blaze a trail to a wide audience in Country Christian music.

In high school, she was placed in Esperanza Spaldings student ensemble at Berklee College of Music, where she was encouraged and inspired by the Grammy Award-winning artist. She started her own group The Sofia Goodman Group in 2017. The ensemble has performed at a variety of festivals in the U.S.A. and has released two albums. Her first album Myriad of Flowers was nominated by NIMA for Best Jazz Album. Her second album, Secrets of the Shore, won Best Jazz Album of 2023 by the Nashville Scene, was featured in JAZZIZ, and received 4 stars in DownBeat. Her upcoming album, Receptive, produced by Pascal Le Boeuf, will be out in 2024. Goodman has also received a nomination for Best Jazz Instrumentalist by NIMA and won the Pathways to Jazz Grant and the CMA Performance Plus Grant. She has been described as a “risk-taking, progressive jazz drummer” by multiple press sources. She is also an educator, mentor, and advocate for women in jazz.

6th Annual Blue Balloon Spring Songwriting Showcase
Blue Balloon Songwriting School has been around for 15 years in NYC and since 2017 in Nashville. We have had our annual young songwriters showcases at the Bluebird Cafe in Nashville, the Knitting Factory in Brooklyn, and the City Winery in Manhattan. This is our first time presenting our young songwriters at Analog at the Hutton Hotel. Our concerts are open to the public, draw a wonderful crowd, and have been listed in the NY Times many times and featured in Time Out NY Kids. We pride ourselves on putting on a real show for these kids who are as little as 4 years old, so they have the experience of playing in front of a live audience, plugged in onstage. Our students will have the opportunity to perform their amazingly beautiful and original songs as well as songs they’ve worked hard to learn on their instruments all year.

ABOUT JAMES OTTO
James Otto, has been called The Biggest Voice In Country Music and that might just be true, his voice is as big as he is. Hes a seasoned and soulful singer who understands the electrifying magic that occurs when a remarkable voice meets a hit song. His breakthrough hit in 2008, Just Got Started Lovin You, soared to the top of the country charts and was the Most Played Country Single of the Year. Otto rose to prominence when he signed with Warner Bros. and released the album Sunset Man. He also began earning a reputation as one of Nashville’s most compelling young songwriters as he co-wrote Jamey Johnson’s career-defining hit In Color, which was nominated for a Grammy and won both the Country Music Academys Song of the Year and the Academy of Country Musics Song of the Year awards in 2008. An Audiobrary Evening with Julia Whelan: A WriterFest Benefit for The Porch
Dubbed The Adele of Audiobooks by The New Yorker and The Michael Jordan of Audio by General David Petraeus, Julia Whelan is an actor, author of three critically acclaimed novels, award-winning narrator of over 600 titles, and now founder of the new audio publishing company and distribution channel, Audiobrary. Across film and TV, publishing, and voiceover, Whelan is committed to the craft, breadth, value, and power of story; written and spoken. But in this ever-shifting creative landscape, what does it mean to be a storyteller? Should we approach technological advances combatively? Is there another way forward?
This conversationhosted by author Julian R. Vaca, who was last year’s recipient of Book’em’s Nashville Literacy Leader Awardwill explore Whelans long career in the arts. Her recent pivot to entrepreneur as founder of Audiobrary is an effort to address systemic problems of equity in her various industries and shore up human storytelling for the future. She will also read from her latest project showcasing her voice talent and answer questions from the audience in the intimate setting of Analog at the Hutton Hotel.
This event is a benefit for the nonprofit The Porch, which is celebrating its 10th anniversary here in Nashville as it educates and connects writers and readers of all ages and stages through classes and literary events. Admission is free with a suggested donation of $15 at the door, and limited VIP (reserved priority seating) tickets are available for $30 each in advance.
Doors open at 5 pm to mix and mingle until 6 pm when programming will begin.
